This policy explains what personal data Visit Hayastan ("we", "us") collects when you use visithayastan.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep data collection to the strict minimum needed to answer your requests and improve the site.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The website is published and operated by Visit Hayastan, a local tour operator based in Yerevan, Armenia. For any question about your data, contact us at hello@visithayastan.com.
2. What we collect
- Information you give us — when you contact us by email or WhatsApp (your name, contact details and the content of your message), so we can reply and plan your trip.
- Audience measurement — anonymous statistics about how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate region, device type), only if you accept analytics cookies.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising or profiling.
3. Cookies and analytics
By default the site sets no tracking cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, but it only runs after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner (Google Consent Mode v2, with IP anonymisation). If you decline, no analytics cookie is created.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing the site's storage in your browser, which brings the cookie banner back so you can choose again.

4. Legal basis
We process your contact data to respond to your request and provide our services. Analytics data is processed only on the basis of your consent, which you give through the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time.
5. Who we share data with
Analytics data is processed by Google (Google Ireland Ltd) as our measurement provider. We share your contact details with no one except the local partners (hotels, guides, transport) strictly needed to arrange a trip you have requested.
6. How long we keep it
Email and messaging exchanges are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and our relationship. Analytics data is retained by Google for a limited period and in aggregated, non-identifying form.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to its processing, or withdraw your consent. Write to us at hello@visithayastan.com and we will respond promptly.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
